What is a Real Mineral Makeup?
A true mineral makeup powder is formulated without fillers such as talc; as a result it is highly pigmented. This requires a percentage of concentrated minerals in the formula. Since ingredients are listed in diminishing order, minerals should be at the top of the list. Also, look for an SPF rating on the label.
How do I remove jane iredale skin care makeup?
The minerals can be removed with any cleanser. They won't, however, come off with plain water. Try our magic Mitt for a squeaky clean face.
Dose Jane Iredale work on older or aging skin?
Yes. Because this is a light - reflective cosmetic, it obscures fine lines and wrinkles and gives a healthy glow to the skin, making it look younger. Matte makeup absorbs light and allows the eye to see "into" the skin. On a more textured skin, it is helpful to spritz with our D2O, Balance or Pommisst hydration sprays after applying the minerals. This sets the makeup, softens lines and gives a dewy look. The technique of spritzing the sponge first and applying the minerals as a wash also helps to minimize fine lines, wrinkles and large pores.
Is it all right to use Jane Iredale on acne - prone skin?
Yes. It is completely non - comedogenic and allows the skin to breathe and function normally. It also easily covers the redness common with eruptions.
May I use Jane Iredale with Retin-A?
Yes. The line may be used with any skin care regimen. The SPF the minerals provide is especially important while using Retin-A or AHA's
Is it O.K. to place blush on the eyes?
Yes, because we don't use FD&C dyes in our blushes. FD&C dyes are not allowed for use around the eye area. Some red dyes (like Red #40) are known comedogens. Breakouts in the cheek area could be related to this.
Do the eye shadows crease?
Generally not, although those with oily eyelids may want to apply our Lid Primer (in Canvas, Petal ot Lemon) before the pressed mineral eye shadows; Lid Primer controlsexcess oil very effectively. A layer of PureMatte or Absence on the lids first can also be helpful, In addition, using the Eye Gloss in place of PurePressed Eye Shadow will give you gorgeous color and won't crease.
Are the lip and eye pencils interchangeable?
Absolutely. They all have the same ingredients.
Why do my lips tingle when I apply Just Kissed, More Lip or PureGloss for Lips?
What you're feeling is the natural dilation of the blood vessels in your lips which causes a slight plumping effect. Each of the mentioned products contains mint and ginger which contributes to this effect.
When do I use Active Light instead of Circle\Delete?
Active Light is designed for the client who needs under-eye concealing and also has puffy eyes as a main concern. The buckwheat wax and cucumber extract will help to alleviate puffiness. When your concern is hydration and under-eye circles, you would use Circle\Delete.
Can I use Disappear under the eyes?
You could, but it is not the best option for the eye area. Disappear is a more opaque concealer with treatment properties targeted for acne. Disappear works best for covering acne scars, veins, bruising, birthmarks and even tattoos. A more emollient concealer would be best for the under-eye area, like Circle\Delete or Active Light.
How can I keep blush looking fresh all day?
Apply a small amount of In Touch Cream Blush to the apples of the cheeks and blend into the skin with the Blending Brush. Layer a PurePressed Blush on top of the In Touch for added intensity. Then apply one of our mattifying powders to set.
Will the minerals cover bruising or birthmarks?
Yes. However, the shadow of some dark bruising may show through. Try disappear, the peach in Circle\Delete 2 or Enlighten to camouflage anything that the powders won't.
